Hey Launchies! Smart Pop Books contacted us today to give us some more exciting Ender's World news! Not only have they recently added the book's table of contents to the site, but they're also offering fans a bit of a sneak preview to hold us over until April.

All you have to do is visit Smart Pop's site and sign up for the mailing list. After submitting your email address, you'll receive an email with a confirmation link. Once you click on it, a free advance PDF excerpt from the book will be sent directly to your inbox. Super easy, right?

They're also looking to add excerpts from individual essays at a later date, so make sure to keep checking back.

The Jimmy Jax Band Live at Molly Malone's

Jimmy Jax Pinchak's team reached out to Ender's Game fans yesterday to let us know that he and his band will be playing live at Molly Malone's in Los Angeles on March 8, 2013 at 8:45 pm.

And here's a bit of extra excitement for Ender fans: If you plan on checking out Jimmy's band and are 21-and-over (Malone's is 21+), don't forget to bring along your copy of Ender's Game! Jimmy has promised he will be signing copies of the book after the set!

SDCC 2013 Badges On Sale February 16, 2013

Just a super quick heads-up for everyone who is planning on attending Comic-Con this year: public badges go on sale two weeks from tomorrow: Saturday, February 16, 2013.

In order to apply for a badge, you must already have a valid Comic-Con Member ID or sign-up for one before February 12th.

From the site:

Everyone who intends to purchase, apply, or register for a Comic-Con badge must have a valid and confirmed Comic-Con Member ID. The Member ID site will close to new registrations and changes on February 12, 2013 and will not reopen before badge sales begin. This includes attendees, volunteers, professionals, trade professionals, exhibitor main contacts, and members of the press.

If any of you Launchies are intending to attend Comic-Con this year to support  Ender's Game, I suggest you sign up for a member ID as soon as possible. I wouldn't want anyone who wanted to go miss out because they forgot to register in time!

"Ender's World" Q&A: Have your name credited!

If you submitted a question for Ender's World, this is for you!

In our last podcast, Crystal and I talked a bit about Ender's World and the really great Ender's Game questions Orson Scott Card himself answered throughout the book. As most of you probably know, a lot of these came from the fans -- you guys! -- after Smart Pop Books generously invited everyone to submit their questions for the book's Q&A sections. We pointed out on EnderCast last month that, while the questions were brilliant, there were no visible credits and thus no way of knowing who asked which question.

But one fan is trying to change that!

EC Spencer from Ender's Ansible recently contacted Editor-in-Chief Leah Wilson and Smart Pop Books has agreed to include a list of those who contributed (and send them free copies when the book is printed!) but we have to act fast: the book is being printed this week and many people didn't use their real name when participating.

If you submitted a question and would want your name included, please send both the alias you used and your real name to EC Spencer (wiggine@gmail.com), who will compile the information and submit it to Smart Pop Books. Edit: Please try to use the same email address you used to submit your question when sending in your information.

All submitted questions are still available on the original SPB blog post, so if you've forgotten your alias/question, go back and take a look!

Again: If your question makes it in the final copy of Ender's World, your name will be credited AND you'll receive a free copy of the book, but you have to act within the next couple of days!

We'd like to wish the happiest of birthdays to Dink Meeker actor Khylin Rhambo, who turns 17 today!

For those of you who can't wait 'til November, you can catch Khylin every Sunday on his new show The First Family,  a new sitcom following the life of an African-American family in the White House. Khylin plays Charles, the President's teenage son who is trying to adapt to his new life while dealing with Secret Service following his every move.
