What looks like Formic skycrapers, they're not! Nothing's living in there. They are wind, air, and temperature management devices essentially, very much like the thermal management flues that actual insect colonies have. Formic society is largely subterranean so what we're seeing is really tips of an iceberg that indicate a much larger life going on below the surface.
